Mononoke is a horror series that deals with a lot of misogyny, sexual harm, and violence. Kusuriuri himself does NOT perpetuate these things, and typically is acting to bring peace to the angry spirits that come from such trauma. It does not mean he won't speak to the existence of these things if brought up in conversation, though from an OOC perspective, I will certainly not be detailing these storylines unless it makes sense.

✓ While he involves himself - much to his own harm - in protecting and teasing humankind, touch is not something he himself tends to initiate unless necessary (but your characters certainly can!). He has a lot of love and empathy for humanity, yet holds himself at a distance.

Summary
A wanderer who travels while in search of restless ayakashi — monsters, spirits, ghosts — which latch onto human emotion and create a mononoke. His role is to exorcise these mononoke, but first, he must investigate the exact form of the mononoke, the reason it remains among the living, and the truth of its tragedy.
At A Glance
Visual
Colorful hikimayu-style makeup in a mix of hues painted onto his face. Yellow eyes always tracing movement before his head turns to follow. Fingernails are sharp and pointed. His eye-catching kimono is actually worn in the feminine style (Edo period).
Aural
Speaks slowly and deliberately, in a way that could sound as if he's teasing, sometimes at odds with his mild expression. Prone to theatrical monologues, or playful banter that's almost a performance.

Handwriting is very showy & flowy.
Abilities & Tools
Mental Strength
Extremely strong; used to getting thrown into weird hallucinatory mind prisons built by the trauma of the mononoke he's trying to exorcise. sometimes this involves watching the traumatic memories play out. Such things are just another day on the job.
Physical Strength
Great strength (can carry >400 lbs easily), endurance, and agility. Can still be injured, and does bleed, but doesn't require eating or sleeping.
Spiritual Strength
Highly attuned to spiritual power, can sense spirits such as ghosts, mononoke, etc.

• Sacred Sword | Once he's unlocked the three necessary pieces of info for the mononoke — its Form, Truth, and Reason — his Sacred Sword allows him to unsheathe it, so that he may exorcise the vengeful spirit in his "Shingi" form...though this does require that he's obtained the correct information.• Scales | Charming, semi-sentient scales which tilt to ring a bell to alert him to a mononoke's distance & direction.
• Ofuda | Talismans used to detect and block mononoke. Can be placed individually or spread out across an area.
